Hey Dolls
I'm back to answer the following questions
1)what is a closure?
2) can every body where a closure?
3) How big is a closure?
4) where does the closure go?
5) will it look wiggy?
WHAT IS A CLOSURE?
So a closure is a piece about the size of the palm of your hand depending on how big your hand is or smaller.3x4 is the average size. It is to be placed in the top of your hair directly in front your hair line. It goes in the place where you would normally leave your hair out when wearing a weave to cover tracks. ie, your leave out, horseshoe area. It is suppose to make it look like you have left your hair out in that area and you should be able to part it any where. Some come with a natural scalp look to it already (silk base closures) and some you have to dr up to make it look like your natural scalp (lace closures).
CAN EVERY BODY WHERE A CLOSURE?
The answer to the question is yes, but some are limited to how they can where it. why do i say this? Becuase some hair lines are made different from others, you have the hair line what what i call is normaly, full all around and even in shape, some have widows peak, some go back really far, some come down really low.
Some have just a really odd unexplanable shape. :-)
In my HUMBLE OPINION, when you have a hair line that , comes down really low and when i say low, i mean close to your eye brows, or a widows peak or oddly un explanable shape, a closure isn't always best for you and if you do where one ,bangs normaly suit you best, because if you try to wear it with a part, it wont look natural, and your unable to conceal the hair line properly so it looks as natural as possible. So for these types of hair lines, fringe bangs, full bangs, or deep side parts compliment you best when wearing a closure.
HOW BIG IS THE CLOSURE?
I stated this in the first paragraph question but a closure is about the size of the palm of your hand depending on how big your hand is and can be bigger. You can have a closure custom made or request a large closure that is usually a 4x5. Larger is for more coverage and more parting space and smaller 2x4 (i may be wrong about size measurement on smaller one) is to be able to add more tracks and lest parting space if you are not concerned with moving your part all around.
WHERE DOES THE CLOSURE GO?
I also covered this in the first paragraph, but it goes in the very top where you would normaly leave your hair out, make bangs, or cover tracks. It should be placed directly in front of your natural hair line..right above fore head area, for the most natural look.
WILL IT LOOK WIGGY?
This is one of the most common questions asked . My response is no it will not look wiggy UNLESS, your stylist does not place it properly, you have one of those oddly shapped hair lines that i spoke about in the CAN EVERY BODY WHERE A CLOSURE question, or u have a closure that was constructed with alot of hair,. meaning its very thick, or the actual shape of the base of the closure is not made to sew down and lay flat as possible. A U shaped or square shaped closure is the best shape to work with. If it is oval shapped or circle shaped, 9times out of 10 its gonna look wiggy. If it has too much hair then its best to have your stylist thin it out. Laying a track infront of a closure will also make it look wiggy to. In my opinion.
So i hope i have answered the questions as clear and as best i can. If you want to see pics of my clients wearing closures go here;

CLOSURE WEAVES
Hi dolls, divas, and gentlemen !
So a few years back maybe 3 yrs ago,i had only been doing weaves for about 2 yrs, and a client (hey crystal aka DIVA VOCALS) came to me to get her hair done, and she pulls out a closure. And i was like ..wooo.what is this, she said o a closure, i said I DONT KNOW how to do those. She said its easy, just put it on stich it all the way around and thats it. I'm like ok lady, but dont be mad at me when it dont look right. So i go for what i know, and surprisingly it comes out just fine. So i start practicing on my self, and eventually, start saying i can do them for clients. But i could only do them if you were wearing bangs or deep side part. So after doing my own, for a year, and doing them so many times on clients, cause they were all loving how i did them , i start figuring out other ways to do them and to get them to look as natural as possible, without any of your hair line showing in the front. Now i'm doing them and doing middle parts, and side parts. I have gotten pretty good at this! So here we are today, and i am a good old PRO at it.I have mastered how to SEW ON A LACE OR SILK CLOSURE. I did get a few tips from another stylist who is a good freind of mine that lives in texas. But for the most part, i have practiced this and done it so many times , that is now what i am known for. Doing the best natural scalp base CLOSURE WEAVES. Some stylist will tell you, that it will Look wiggy, or you can't sew on a LACE CLOSURE, or they will attempt it and put a track in front of it. All of that is all wrong.!
A LACE CLOSURE can be sewn on just as good as a SILK BASE closure. I have been doing them both for a while now. So what i am going to do is add some pics of SEWN ON LACE CLOSURES and GLUED ON LACE CLOSURES, for comparison. I can make a SEWN ON LACE CLOSURE look just as good as a GLUED LACE CLOSURE.
Please view images below of different closure attachments and how they look sewn or glued
